ZOREAL Meet

Alternatives to Pindrop Pulse

Pindrop Pulse for Meetings extends Pindrop’s deepfake detection to video meetings on Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Cisco Webex: it detects cloned voices, synthetic avatars and face swaps, adds passive voice authentication to confirm that participants are the right person, and flags the host when an alert is detected. ZOREAL Meet is its own meeting product: video and voice meetings in the browser, joined by link, where the host can require every participant to prove that a live, enrolled human is present, with or without disclosing their verified name. This page sets the two side by side as a layer added to other platforms against protection carried inside the call.

Information last reviewed 10 September 2026. Compared: Pindrop Pulse for Meetings against ZOREAL Meet. Pindrop Protect and Pindrop Passport for contact centres, Pindrop Pulse for calls, and Pindrop’s revenue and funding are out of scope; the contact-centre products overlap ZOREAL Verify and have their own page there.

Where ZOREAL Meet and Pindrop Pulse differ

  • Built into the call

ZOREAL Meet has built-in deepfake protection. ZOREAL Meet has built-in voice-cloning detection.

  • Identity in the meeting

ZOREAL Meet has built-in ID verification, so you can identify the person in the meeting: for a job interview, or any conversation where identity matters. ZOREAL Meet has built-in proof of human inside the meeting.

  • Voice as the anchor, or a document

Pindrop’s identity signal is the voice: passive voice authentication with its Deep Voice engine analyses the characteristics of natural speech during the conversation to confirm that participants are the right person, and the enrolment source of the reference voice is not stated on the meetings page. ZOREAL’s identity anchor is a government document whose chip was read and verified at enrolment, a live face captured then, and a hardware-bound key; a presence check face-matches a fresh liveness capture against that document, and the verified legal name is shown at the Identity level.

  • A layer on three platforms, or the room

Pindrop Pulse for Meetings supports Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Cisco Webex and flags the meeting host when an alert is detected; how it joins a meeting is not stated, and there is no published price. ZOREAL Meet runs the room: Unlimited meetings of up to 40 minutes on the Free plan, 25 on video and 100 attendees, proof of human presence included; joining by link never needs an account or a plan. Current prices are on the ZOREAL price list at zoreal.com/pricing.

Comparison of ZOREAL Meet and Pindrop Pulse for Meetings, based on public materials reviewed on 10 September 2026.

AttributeZOREAL MeetPindrop Pulse
Where it runsInside the call. ZOREAL Meet runs the meeting itself: video and voice meetings in the browser, joined by link, with the presence check run through the ZOREAL ID app and the verdict written to room metadata by the server. No second meeting platform is involved. As an add-on to Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Cisco Webex, monitoring continuously during the meeting and flagging the meeting host when an alert is detected. How the product joins a call (a bot participant, a desktop app, a platform plugin) is not stated in the materials we reviewed (pindrop.com, September 2026).
Identity verification at call timeZOREAL Meet has built-in ID verification, so you can identify the person in the meeting: for a job interview, or any conversation where identity matters. A presence check is an OAuth login: ZOREAL Meet is a relying party of the ZOREAL OpenID Provider over the same pairing protocol every relying party uses. The participant scans a QR code with the ZOREAL ID app, runs the full liveness capture, is face-matched server-side against the document read at enrolment, and approves with a device signature from a hardware-bound, biometric-gated key. The provider derives the assurance from a presence attestation it minted itself, the acr floor is enforced on the claim, and the verdict is written to room metadata by the server, never self-declared by a participant. Both levels run the same capture and the same match; they differ only in what the room learns. A check runs when the host asks a participant, or everyone who joins from then on, to prove presence; the badge lasts for that connection.Passive voice authentication with the Pindrop Deep Voice engine, analysing the unique characteristics of natural speech during conversation to confirm meeting participants are the right person; the enrolment source of the reference voice is not stated on the meetings page. A document, face or liveness check for participants is not stated in the materials we reviewed (pindrop.com, September 2026).
Proof of humanZOREAL Meet has built-in proof of human inside the meeting.Detection that the audio and video do not carry the artefacts of cloning, synthesis or face swapping, and that the voice stays consistent with a reference; a liveness challenge the participant answers, or a check bound to a document or enrolment image, is not stated in the materials we reviewed.
Deepfake and voice-clone detectionZOREAL Meet has built-in deepfake protection. ZOREAL Meet has built-in voice-cloning detection.Detects cloned voices, synthetic avatars and face swaps, continuously, and flags the meeting host when an alert is detected. Pindrop states 99% accuracy in audio deepfake detection with less than 1% false positives on the meetings page; the test conditions, datasets and dates behind the figures are not stated on the pages we read (pindrop.com, September 2026).

Pindrop’s data handling and retention for meeting media are not stated in the materials we reviewed.

Where ZOREAL Meet and Pindrop Pulse agree

Both are aimed at impersonation in live meetings, and both surface the result to the host rather than deciding for them: Pindrop flags the meeting host when an alert is detected, ZOREAL writes the presence verdict to the room and leaves admission to the host. Both treat their signal as evidence about that moment or that stretch of conversation, not as a permanent guarantee.

Neither product claims to defeat a live accomplice who is the enrolled or reference person: ZOREAL says so in its product documentation, and Pindrop’s pages do not address it. Neither publishes an accuracy figure that this page can set beside the other’s; Pindrop states its own audio figures without test conditions, and ZOREAL publishes none for Meet, so no accuracy comparison is drawn.

The difference is the anchor and the seat. Pindrop anchors identity to the voice and watches passively and continuously as an add-on to Teams, Zoom and Webex; ZOREAL anchors to a chip-read government document and a live face, runs the check as an explicit challenge at join or on request, and carries it inside its own room.

ZOREAL Meet may fit you if

  • You want identity anchored to a government document chip and a live face, with the verified legal name shown at the Identity level, rather than to a voice
  • You want a check the participant answers live through the ZOREAL ID app, with the verdict written to the room by the server
  • You want deepfake and voice-clone protection inside the meeting product itself, with a published price list and a Free plan
  • You want booking pages and meeting agents with memory of previous meetings inside the same product

Pindrop Pulse may fit you if

  • Your meetings already run on Microsoft Teams, Zoom or Cisco Webex and you want a detection layer without changing platform
  • You want continuous, passive monitoring of voice and video rather than an explicit check the participant must answer
  • Your identity signal of choice is the speaker’s voice, authenticated passively during the conversation
  • You already use Pindrop in the contact centre and want the same vendor for meetings
